Ayesha Takia was born on April 10, 1986.

She comes from a mixed family. Her father, Nazir, is Pakistani, and her mother, Faridah, is half British and half Maharashtrian, an Anglo-Indian. Ayesha Takia went to St. Anthony's High School.

On March 1, 2009 she got married to Farhan Azmi who is a restaurateur by profession and the son of Abu Azmi who is a Samajwadi Party leader.

Whom she was dating for a long time. she was suppose to get married in December 2008 but the wedding got delayed due to the Mumbai attacks. On March 2 2009, She finally married her boyfriend Farhan azmi.

Ayesha Takia would like to be remembered as the cleanest actress in Bollywood. She has reportedly refusing roles that necessitates her to wear revealing and skimpy clothes and even refusing to do intimate scenes with co-stars.
